Long Night of Museums Regensburg 2026 / CHIN-CHIN
Saturday, 10 October 2026, is one of those nights: the Long Night of Museums Regensburg returns for its second edition, transforming the city from 18:00 h to 01:00 h into a stage for art, culture and history. Numerous museums, galleries and historic venues open their doors, inviting you to discover Regensburg in a truly unique way.
And perhaps that’s the best part: you don’t have to choose just one place. You can simply wander, discover something new, stay a little longer wherever things get particularly interesting – and experience the city from a completely different perspective.
One city. One night. Countless open doors.
Regensburg is a city shaped by its history. But on this night, that history doesn’t remain hidden behind historic facades.
The Long Night of Museums brings together a diverse range of cultural venues for one shared nocturnal journey of discovery. Exhibitions, extraordinary spaces and places you might simply walk past on an ordinary day all become part of an evening filled with discoveries, both big and small.
For visitors to the city, it’s a wonderful opportunity to experience Regensburg’s cultural diversity in an easy-going way. And for locals, it’s a chance to see their own city through fresh eyes.
One ticket, one night of discovery
The Long Night ticket costs €20 and serves not only as admission to the participating venues, but also as a ticket for the RVV shuttle buses. This makes it easy to move from one stop to the next and enjoy the night at your own pace.
Tickets and programme booklets are available at the participating venues and through München Ticket.
The full programme is also available online on the Long Night of Museums website, in both German and English.
Our tip for a special night in Regensburg
Don’t make the museum night just one item on your itinerary. Make it an entire evening.
Start your night at a relaxed pace in the Old Town. Wander through the narrow streets, let the day slowly fade away – and perhaps begin your Long Night with us at CHIN-CHIN, over a glass of Champagne, wine or a little something to eat.
From here, step into nocturnal Regensburg: from museum to gallery, from history to art and perhaps simply to wherever you spontaneously decide to stay a little longer.
Because these are exactly the kind of evenings we love: no rigid plans, just discovering, enjoying and going with the flow.
Your home in the heart of Regensburg
If you’re coming to Regensburg for the Long Night of Museums, it’s hard to imagine a more central place to stay.
CHIN-CHIN Bar & Boutique Hotel is located right in the heart of Regensburg’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. With 17 individually designed boutique rooms, it’s the perfect base from which to explore the city on foot.
Start with a glass at CHIN-CHIN. Then art, culture and history deep into the night. And afterwards, just a few steps back to your room.
Sometimes, you don’t need much for a memorable city break – just a beautiful city, an extraordinary night and a place you’re happy to return to.
